This is all of the gear, both hardware, and software, that’s been used on the various megabyteGhost albums.

I don’t remember what I did for the first to Prefecture_Audio albums…Those were recorded long before their release dates.

Hardware
Here is a list of hardware I use or have used.
Microphones
Blue Yeti [Website // Amazon (aff)] – I use the Blue Yeti microphone for many recordings, particularly podcasting and videos. It’s hooked to my desk with the Blue Radius II shock mount (Amazon aff) and a cheap suspension scissor arm and pop filter.
iPhone – I use the stock built-in microphone on my iPhone to sample stuff all the time. I’ve used several different iPhones throughout the years.
Zoom H4n (2015 model) [Website // Amazon (aff)] – I use this a lot for sampling if I go out intending to sample stuff. It came w/ a nice plastic case and I bought a windscreen muff to put on it to help w/ wind.
Synthesizers
MicroKorg [Website // Amazon (aff)] – I have one of the older ones. I use this as my main midi controller. I don’t use the actual synthesis much, but I have before. When I have parties, people like to play with the vocoder.
Casio VL-Tone VL-1 [Wikipedia // Vintage Synth Explorer] – This is a pretty famous little synth. You’ve heard it all over the place over the years. It has a calculator built-in. I guess for doing your taxes in the studio. The calculator can also be used for synthesis. I know, it doesn’t make sense. I can’t explain it.
Casio VL-Tone VL-5 – I bought this one before I bought the VL-1 because I didn’t know the VL-1 existed. This is pretty similar, but they removed the calculator and synthesis.
Korg Monotron [Website] – I got this pretty much as soon as it came out. I usually plug this into my Gakken SX-150 Mark II and use them together.
Gakken SX-150 Mark II [Amazon (aff)] – Impulse bought this on Amazon because it was $27 at the time. Looks like the price has doubled. I usually plug this into my Korg Monotron and use them together.
Computers
MacBook Pro [Website] – I really love Logic.
iPad Air [Website] – There’s some fun synth apps on here.
Software
Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs)
Logic Pro [Website] – This is my preferred DAW.
FL Studio 20 [Website] – Fruity Loops was the first DAW I ever used when I was 13. I’ve upgraded several times over the years, but the most recent version I have is 20. I don’t use it much but the “Sound Goodizer” plugin is cool.
Audacity [Website] – I don’t know if this counts as a DAW, but I have been using it since high school.
